Meet Our Volkswagen Ladybug! She may be small, but she's carrying a BIG message. This Volkswagen Bug has been transformed into our very own Pink Ladybug, created to spread awareness, encourage early detection and bring our community together in support of those facing breast cancer.
The King's Daughters Health Foundation, in collaboration with UK King's Daughters, decided to do something fun, meaningful, and visible for breast cancer awareness month. The goal is to raise awareness about the importance of mammograms while also supporting those who may need help accessing and affording breast cancer screening, diagnostic and treatment services. We place great priority in supporting local businesses so we reached out to some of the most creative people we know. A very special thanks to Five & Dime Creative for working with us to develop such a fun concept. Additionally we'd like to thank Whiskey Tango, Print My Threads and the UK King's Daughters team for helping us bring this vision to life.
The ladybug represents hope, strength and the power of coming together for something bigger than ourselves. Just as a ladybug catches your eye, we want this campaign to remind our community to pay attention to their health, stay up to date with recommended screenings and speak up when something doesn't feel right. Every donation helps us carry those facing breast cancer through their journey. So this month, we are introducing you to our Loveliness of Ladybugs. When ladybugs gather in groups, they are known as a "loveliness". Alone, they are prey- but in a loveliness, they are strong enough to overwhelm a threat...together. There is no hero, every ladybug contributes. And if a ladybug lands on you it means you are being protected.

The purpose of the King's Daughters Health Foundation is to increase philanthropic support of UK King's Daughters by addressing and supporting the growing healthcare needs of the communities we serve. The Foundation not only provides long term financial support for enhancing and sustaining the UK King's Daughters mission, but also supports programs and initiatives that promote health and wellbeing in our surrounding community.
